東京ドームの屋根にも使用されているテント生地は、建築物や空間を構成する構造部品です。施工の過程で使われなかったり余ってしまった生地を、再び構造部品として生まれ変わらせました。構造を遊び、構造を愛でるプラモデルです。

The tent fabric that is even used for the roof of Tokyo Dome is a structural component that forms part of buildings and other spaces. Excess fabric that was not used in the construction process was transformed into a structural component once again. This is a plastic model for playing with and admiring structures.

About Material

テント生地

ドーム、駅舎、万博パビリオン、サッカースタジアムなどの屋根（ドーム生地）素材として主に使用されています。この素材は、ガラス繊維などを複雑に組み合わせた特殊な生地にテフロンのコーティングがされており、耐用年数は30年以上ともいわれています。加工の際に捨ててしまう箇所があり、スタジアム建設規模での生地加工の為、切れ端や部余りした箇所などの端材が少なくありません。
